Deacon Carl Vessels, Ph.D.

Deacon Carl was ordained as a permanent deacon on June 14, 2003 in the Diocese of Tucson. In 2006 he retired to spend more time in his ministry. He was the CFO and Administrative Services Director for the City of Safford. His wife, Carolyn, and he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Dec. 2009, and are involved in various programs in the Church that focus on strengthening marriages. Carl has a MBA and Ph.D. in business administration and is a CPA licensed in Arizona and California. In addition to his Diaconate duties, he is a Hospice Chaplain, a Chaplain for the Lions Clubs International, MD-21B, and a member of the Board of Directors for various charitable, non-profit organizations.

Deacon Marcello Arbizo

Marcello has been a Deacon for over 30 years and recently retired.

Jerry Davies

Jerry Davies is retired from the City of Safford, where he served as the CFO of Utilities. At the behest of Father A, Jerry started working at the Church in 2007 as the Bookkeeper and Office Manager.

Gloria Villalba

Gloria has worked as the secretary for St. Rose of Lima Parish since 2005. Gloria is also the coordinator for the Cursillo group. She also is a member of the Spanish Choir, Messengers of Mary, and helps with the Festival of Trees.

Louie Barbosa

Louie has worked as the Custodian at St. Rose of Lima Parish for over seven years. Louie is also Religious Education Teacher.
